Saif Ali Khan stabbing: Questions still unanswered

A man managed to break into Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s apartment in Bandra, sneaked into their young son’s room, and injured Saif during an argument. One person has been arrested in connection with the knife attack, which took place on January 16. It has been six days since the incident, but the keys are still there. unanswered questions and points to inconsistencies the sequence of events and the investigation so far.

Here’s a look at some of the key questions:

  • How did the assailant sneak in through the main door of a high-end, luxury residence in Bandra?
  • Was there no security protocol to monitor the entrance?
  • Is the the guards are asleep at that time?
  • Why did the male workers inside the house fail to act when Saif was attacked, and what were they doing at this critical time?
  • One person has been arrested by the police, but why is his appearance different from the man who was seen coming down the stairs of the building on the day of the incident?
  • Does it illuminate or imply possible misidentification or deliberate deception?
  • How did the accused manage to hide in the garden of Saif Ali Khan’s building for two hours after being stabbed without being seen?
  • Was no one searching the buildings at this time after the alarm went off?

To get clarity on the investigation, India Today TV spoke to Yashovardhan Azad, former IPS officer and former Special Director of Intelligence Bureau, and PK Jain, former Additional DGP (Special Ops), Maharashtra Police. The two former officials analyzed the case and investigated it and expressed disagreement with the way the investigation should be conducted.

“Let me tell you that something is very wrong… in Mumbai, where we have had criminals, with bodies smeared with oil, who can climb high buildings, buildings like this, and keep a window without oil is a shocking thing. ,” said Yashovardhan Azad.

“Secondly, the lack of sufficient number of CCTVs is also shocking. In fact, in a typical building in Noida, it is much more secure and CCTV than what we see in Mumbai. Thirdly, many security guards in Mumbai work during the day, and simply come to work, to sleep in that place. In addition, they are employed in housing agencies, not in a security company,” said Azad.

He then talks about what the police investigation has found so far, including the fingerprints recorded at the scene.

“Now, you cannot deny that the fingerprints were found there. Sanctity of fingerprints or DNA of hair taken from the cap, then the identification of the domestic workers, and the discovery of the third part of the knife, this will clearly clarify whether this boy is the first or not,” said Azad.

He then spoke about reports that the suspect was hanging around the park after a failed burglary attempt.

Azad then asked him important questions about this, asking “So has anyone ever driven a flying squad?” Did anyone call 100? What was the response then?”

Meanwhile, PK Jain questioned the sequence of events leading up to and after the attack.

“I have been insisting from the beginning that there are certain gaps in this story. The FIRE that was missing, there were some gaps in that as well. Things were looking very bad in the sense that only the maid and Saif Ali Khan were handling the suspect, but no one else came to their aid. And then the next thing, he’s locked in a room, he sneaks out of that room. I mean, there are a lot of things that don’t add up,” said PK Jain.

He also pointed out that fingerprints can play a big role in identifying the suspect.

PK Jain, however, questioned why the thief is still lurking in the area after stabbing Saif and fleeing from there. “There are many other things that I can’t put together in my mind,” said PK Jain.

However, he added, “But look, the detective is the best person to comment on what evidence he has.” With the change of guards at this stage, unless there is a major reason, the investigator is usually not changed.”

He said the change of investigator during the investigation was “absolutely unusual”. “I would say that the police have done an excellent job if the suspect is truthful. The police did a good job by connecting the dots and arresting him in Thane,” said PK Jain.

But, he pointed out “some gaps in the whole story”.

Azad, on the other hand, said the investigation could be “given to the best guy, because there are many things to be done”.

He then said he could point to “many other impressive things”. “Why doesn’t Kareena go with him on a three-wheeler?” Why did Taimur leave?” he asked.

He then said that it was “shocking” that four male employees hid and did not come out in the open to fight the criminal. Azad added, “But if you see on the streets, a young man is torturing and killing his lover on the street and there are people standing there taking pictures, but no one bothers you.” This is your India.”

Aside from the probe’s gaps, other findings have added a layer of complexity to the probe Bangladeshi nationality of the arrested suspect. Mohammad Shariful, the suspect arrested in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, entered India illegally from Bangladesh.

When asked about the need for transparency in the investigation, PK Jain said, “Actually, the police should not and cannot disclose the details of the investigation. Some true information, yes, they can share with the media, but the investigation, what exactly they did, what exactly they are doing, I don’t think that should enter the public. “

“Because when the police start giving opinions, they hurt the case more than they help,” he added.

Meanwhile, Azad revealed that the nationality of the suspect it has security implications.

“But there is one thing in the end that this type of entry and this type of crime committed by a Bangladeshi immigrant who just arrived a few months ago, has an impact on security. And if the police today make a system of verification everywhere in all the states, it will be good for us,” said Azad.
