Amid concerns over Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s well-being, Dr Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital on Friday (January 17, 2025) confirmed that the actor is “doing very well” and is safe. He said that Saif Ali Khan has been taken out of the intensive care unit (ICU). However, his movement remains restricted.
While speaking at the press conference, the doctors who operated on the actor stated that he was out of danger and there is no issue of disability.

Dr Niraj Uttamani said he was the doctor who met Saif Ali Khan in the first hour of his injury. “He had blood all over his body. But he came in like a lion with his little one. A real hero. He is doing well right now. His parameters are better. He is being moved from the ICU to a special room. We will see the visitors. We want him to rest,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Dange said they advised him to rest because of the wounds on his back that could cause infections. Saif Ali Khan is healthy and safe from any symptoms, he added.
“He is doing very well. We let him go. There was no problem or pain or any other symptoms. Judging by a few things, including his injuries and wounds, he is safe to be removed from the ICU. The only thing we advised him to do is rest for a while, because of the wounds, especially on the back which can cause infection Dange said.
The doctor went on to say that the spinal cord injuries of the actors have been repaired and as a result, movement restrictions and restrictions on the movement of visitors are recommended for a speedy recovery. “His hands had two wounds. One was on his neck which was repaired with plastic surgery. I operated on his spine where a sharp object was inserted and where the fluid came out. It has been repaired now.” Dr. Dange told reporters after the press conference.
Earlier today, the Mumbai Police said they have recovered part of the metal removed from Saif’s back, while efforts to recover the remaining part are underway.
Mumbai police on Friday (January 17, 2025) arrested one person in connection with the attack on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Bandra. The person was brought to the Bandra police station for questioning.
Mumbai Police also said that the accused involved in the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was last seen near Bandra railway station and the investigation is on. The police suspect that after the incident, the accused caught the first local train in the morning and headed towards Vasai Virar. Mumbai Police teams are searching in Vasai, Nalasopara and Virar areas.
