Indian and Chinese military commanders will meet at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh at Depsang and Demchok on Wednesday and confirm the status of the evacuation process, sources said.
The flight verification at Depsang was completed on Tuesday, however, the same could not be done at Demchok due to bad weather, sources said, adding that the process would reach its conclusion today.

“On Tuesday evening, the tents and temporary structures have been removed from both areas. The withdrawal of vehicles and troops has also been completed where necessary. The termination and confirmation were happening at the same time,” sources said.
Navigation on the LAC in both countries is expected to start on Thursday, 31 October.
Sources have revealed that the soldiers of the two countries will not roam together, which means that the Indian and Chinese soldiers will not roam together at the same time.
“Soldiers in both countries can patrol in one day if there is a gap between them,” they said.
According to sources, Indian troops need to patrol five areas in Depsang and two areas in Demchok. The monitoring group will verify and ensure the removal of temporary staff from the posts.

Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar said on Sunday that the withdrawal of troops from Depsang and Demchok is the first step and the next step will be a reduction which will not happen until India is sure that the same is happening on the other side. well.
“Obviously, it will take time to do the same. This is the issue of non-cooperation with the military and it means that our forces are very close and now they have returned to their bases. We hope that the situation in 2020 will be restored,” he said.
On October 21, India announced that it had reached an agreement with China on patrolling along the LAC in eastern Ladakh, leading to the beginning of the process of withdrawal of troops from the two conflict zones.
