Two soldiers were killed at a firing range in Rajasthan’s Bikaner on Wednesday when they were loading ammunition into a tank during a training exercise.
The incident took place in the North camp at the Mahajan shooting range on Wednesday when a charger exploded while loading ammunition. The slain militants were identified as Ashutosh Mishra from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria and Jitendra from Rajasthan’s Dausa, a news agency said. The PTI quoting the police as saying.
Another soldier was injured in the incident and was airlifted to Chandigarh for treatment.
The police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the blast.
It is worth noting that this is the second such incident in one week, The PTI report.
The gunman, Chandra Prakash Patel, was killed when he armed himself with a car towing the gun on Sunday. The car suddenly skidded and Patel was seriously injured.
