The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided four locations across Rajasthan on Wednesday in connection with the disproportionate assets case against Kota Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Vijay.
Based on the evidence, ACB teams conducted searches at two locations in Kota and one in Jaipur for about eight hours. Apart from this, his ancestral house in Dausa is also sealed.
The team recovered Rs 2.22 lakh cash, 335 grams of gold ornaments, 11.8 kg of silver jewellery, three-wheelers and documents of 13 commercial and residential plots. The investigation team also found 16 bank accounts linked to Vijay.
The team also found several insurance documents and bank locker details, which are yet to be searched.
The Rajasthan government removed Vijay from the post and placed him under ‘Awaiting Posting’ status. Notably, this is the third time that Vijay has been placed under APO status.
Rajendra Vijay took over as commissioner of Kota division on 25 September. He has worked as a collector of Baran and Balotra earlier.
