Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said he was looking forward to his visit to Jammu and Kashmir’s Sonamarg where the Z-Morh tunnel, which will provide weather connectivity between Kashmir and Ladakh, will be inaugurated on January 13.
Prime Minister Modi responded to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to review the preparations for the upcoming event. Abdullah shared pictures and videos of the Z-Morh tunnel and highlighted its benefits, and positioned Sonamarg as a skiing destination.
“I am looking forward to my visit to Sonmarg, Jammu and Kashmir to inaugurate the tunnel. It shows the benefits of tourism and the local economy. Also, love the aerial photos and videos!” PM Modi tweeted.
