PM Modi will launch several projects worth Rs 56,000 crore in Maharashtra today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Maharashtra on Saturday, where he will launch several development projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore. The Prime Minister will begin his visit to Washim, where he will inaugurate the Banjara Virasat Museum, which celebrates the rich heritage of the Banjara community.

Prior to this, Prime Minister Modi will offer prayers at the Jagdamba Mata temple in Poharadevi and pay homage to the samadhis of Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj.

Later that day, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various projects worth over Rs 32,800 crore in Thane. In Mumbai, he will inaugurate the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to the Aarey JVLR section of the Mumbai Metro Line 3, built at an estimated cost of Rs 14,120 crore. He will then take a metro ride between BKC and Santacruz stations.

In the afternoon, PM Modi will launch agriculture and animal welfare schemes worth around Rs 23,300 crore in Washim. During the event, he will release the 18th installment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, releasing around Rs 20,000 to about 9.4 crore farmers. He will also launch the 5th installment of NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana and release Rs 2,000 crore, an official statement said.

The Prime Minister will also donate more than 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), with a total cost of Rs 1,920 crore. These include custom rental centers, primary processing facilities, warehouses, sorting and sorting facilities, cold storage projects and post-harvest handling projects.

The Prime Minister will also introduce the Unified Genomic Chip for cattle and indigenous sex-sorting technology, which aims to make sex-sorted sperm more affordable for farmers by reducing costs.

Genomic chips, GAUCHIP for indigenous cattle and MAHISHCHIP for buffaloes, have been developed through genotyping services. This technology will make it possible to quickly identify high-quality bulls.

In the evening, Prime Minister Modi will return to Thane to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for additional development projects worth over Rs 32,800 crore. One of the biggest projects will be the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, which will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 12,200 crore.

He will also lay the foundation stone of the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension, connecting Chheda Nagar and Anand Nagar in Thane, which aims to provide seamless connectivity between South Mumbai and Thane.

In addition, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate five solar parks with a capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0. He will also lay the foundation stone for Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project worth around Rs 2,550 crore.
