The head of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti said that she is fighting with the people of Lebanon and Gaza after the death of Hassan Nasrallah.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mehbooba Mufti on social media on Saturday announced that she is canceling her plans to campaign on Sunday in collaboration with the people of Lebanon after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.

“I cancel my campaign tomorrow in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza, especially Hassan Nasarullah. We stand with the people of Palestine and Lebanon in this time of great sorrow and exemplary resistance,” said the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir in a social media post.
Nasrallah was the face of Hezbollah, enjoying cult status among his Shiite Muslim followers, and was the only man in Lebanon who had any fighting or peacemaking powers.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said: “His elimination makes the world a safer place.”
In Tehran, posters of Nasrallah were emblazoned with the slogan “Hezbollah lives”.
Israel has killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in a major airstrike in Lebanon, dealing with what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday called a “revolution” in his country.
Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah’s death after the Israeli military said he was killed in an airstrike on Friday in the south of Beirut, a major stronghold of the Iran-backed group.
Some Israelis celebrated his assassination, while in Lebanon, the disbelief of his followers led to bitter mourning.
Across the region, leaders condemned the killings while some Hezbollah allies vowed revenge, raising fears of more violence in the Middle East after nearly a year of war in Gaza.
“Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah… has joined his great, martyred comrades whom he led for almost 30 years,” Hezbollah said in a statement.
