In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Odisha government has transferred principal secretary to independent minister Arindam Dakua and four other officials.
Mr. Dakua, a 2011 batch IAS officer, has been posted as director of municipal administration, and additional secretary of the housing and urban development department.
According to the notice issued by the Department of General Administration and Public Grievances on Thursday, no one has been nominated for the position of private secretary to the chief minister.
Appointed as private secretary to CM in July 2024.
NBS Rajput, who is the principal secretary to the governor, has been added to the charge of the principal secretary of the state business department.
Commissioner-cum-secretary of the government’s business department Temjenwapag Ao has been made special secretary for planning and coordination, the statement said.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, who serves as the managing director of investment promotion agency IPICOL, has been given the additional charge of commissioner-cum-secretary in the department of skill development.
He is also in charge of the special secretary of the industries department, and the managing director of IDCO in the infrastructure development agency.
Agriculture department director Prem Chaudhary has been appointed as director of textiles and handicrafts.
He also has another charge as the managing director of Odisha Agro Industries Corporation Ltd.
