Paying tribute to NT Rama Rao (NTR) at the time of his death, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said in a message to X that the founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Chief Minister was a good idea and a human being.

He saw that NTR had instituted reforms aimed at reducing poverty. In this sense, NTR introduced a number of welfare programs aimed at the poor and achieved impressive results.

Mr. Naidu further said that NTR was a social reformer who empowered the Backward Classes and women in politics and other fields. NTR gave equal importance to development, welfare and good governance and always strived to eradicate poverty, which he considered as the basic objective of political power.
