Nitish shameless, stabbed Muslims in the back: Prashant Kishor

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Sunday (November 10, 2024) launched a scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling him “shameless” and accusing him of “regressing” Muslims by associating with the BJP.

The former political analyst, who was once a close aide of Mr. Kumar, was responding to questions about the JD(U)’s efforts to reach out to the minority community while campaigning for the four Assembly seats.

“Yes, Nitish Kumar has done a lot for Muslims by stabbing them in the back [peeth mein chhura bhonkne ka kaam kiya]. He formed the government in 2015 with massive Muslim support and came back to power with the BJP two years later,” Mr. Kishor said.

“Muslims supported Nitish Kumar again when he returned to the Mahagathbandhan a few years ago, but he returned to the NDA led by the BJP. Now his party is a partner in the government at the Centre, and its leaders as Ministers in the Union Cabinet bought the controversial Waqf bill,” said Mr. Kishor.

“Nitish Kumar is a shy man (nirlajj aadmi) hai the people of Bihar are disgusted with him and want to remove him from power,” said the founder of Jan Suraaj.

Asked about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath”buy to buy” slogan, the former political strategist said “It is an old strategy of BJP to make Hindus feel insecure and gain electoral benefits. The party should tell the people of Bihar how many factories Modi established in the State since he became the Prime Minister. ”
