Viall interviewed Baldoni on his podcast “The Viall Files” in January 2023. As rumors of bad blood between Lively and Baldoni spread in August 2024, Viall questioned why Baldoni was hiring a manager -PR, Melissa Nathanwho previously represented Johnny Depp during his legal battle with Amber Heard.
“This PR group took Amber Heard off the internet,” Viall said on his podcast at the time. “It was like, an attack on his character.”
In an interview with Bustle, Viall referred to his previous comments about the Baldoni/Lively controversy and said he “shares his opinion.”
“When I expressed my opinion on this topic, I didn’t see it as talking too much; I am the one who presents my opinion and I challenge my listeners to ask themselves different questions,” he explained.
