The National Investigative Agency (NIA) has filed four cases against the Communist Party of India (Maoist) for abducting and killing youths in Maharashtra for allegedly being police informers and members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), according to an official statement issued. on Friday (January 3, 2024). The arrest came months after the case was taken over by the NIA in October 2024.
Those arrested are Doba Wadde, Ravi Pallo, Sattu Mahaka and Komati Mahaka are accused of kidnapping and killing Dinesh Pusus Gawde in November 2023. Mr. Gawde was killed on the suspicion that he was suspected of being a member of the RSS and the police. informant, the statement was read. The NIA officials also said that this action was aimed at allegedly threatening the people of the village not to share any information about the naxal movement with the security forces. The NIA said the accused were active members of the CPI(Maoist) and had already committed the crime allegedly to spread fear in the minds of the local people.
A case was first registered at Dhobraj police station by Gadchiroli police and the accused were arrested by the police. The Gadchiroli police also seized a bharmar gun, explosives and “suspicious material” that were also found.
