We’re continuing our series of product reviews on Wit & Delight, where I give my in-depth thoughts on tried and true products that I’ve been using for months (or years) that have changed my daily routine for the better. These reviews are intended to provide detailed information on products you may be interested in, so if and when you are in the market for something, you have all the information you need to decide whether to buy.
Today I’m sharing my personal review of the DRx SpectraLiteâ„¢ FaceWare Pro, an LED face mask from Dr. Dennis Gross.
DRx SpectraLiteâ„¢ FaceWare Pro is an FDA cleared face mask from Dr. Dennis Gross using red and blue LED light therapy. Blue light treats acne and evens skin texture and texture, while red light smooths lines, supports natural collagen production in tight skin, treats signs of sun damage, and treats inflammation.
How is your skin?
I have sensitive, dry skin that is starting to show fine lines. I also have dark spots on my nose and cheeks and often deal with my skin looking dull and red. Sometimes, I have minor hormonal acne. Because I have sensitive skin, I have to be careful with harsh acids and serums. Before I bought this mask, I was recently diagnosed with stage one rosacea. I noticed that my nose and cheeks were very red when I drank alcohol, ate spicy food, or was in the sun for a long time.
Why did you want to try this LED face mask?
I bought this mask in May 2024. I had previously tried the Solawave Wand and found my skin benefited from the red light therapy. With the Solawave Wand, I have seen some improvement in my skin tone and texture. I noticed my dark spots looked smaller and my skin looked brighter and firmer.
I wanted to invest more in an LED mask that I could just leave on without having to manually move it to each part of my face. Mask of Dr. Dennis Gross LED is designed to treat the problems I mentioned above, such as fine lines, dark spots, redness, and acne.
Before I bought the Dr. Dennis Gross LED, I had purchased this $150 LED mask and this $70 LED mask through Amazon. I returned both because they didn’t charge or sit well on my face. I was also concerned about using a device sold by a third-party vendor, especially when using a bright light near my eyes. In the end, I decided I wanted to try a product from a well-regarded, well-researched brand. Mask of Dr. Dennis Gross is FDA cleared, meaning it is professional grade LED therapy.
What is your routine when you use the mask of Dr. Dennis Gross LED?
I try to use a mask every day. In fact, I use it about three days a week, because you know, life. To use, I wash my face and dry it, put the device on my face, turn it on, and use it for the scheduled time of three minutes.
There are three modes: red anti-aging mode, blue anti-acne mode, and combined red and blue light mode. I usually do red light mode. After that, I apply my usual skin products.
This mask can be used in the morning or at night. For best results, the product recommends daily use—consistency is key! For more information, see the full list of instructions from Dr. Dennis Gross.
How effective is this LED face mask?
With regular use, I have noticed that the fine lines on my face have been reduced and the redness has improved to the point where it is no longer visible. I also noticed an improvement in hormonal acne. My cheeks have a few dark spots but my nose continues to be a problem so I will check with my dermatologist about my next appointment. Overall, this product has worked for me so far and I look forward to continuing to use it for a long time.
Have you seen any problems with the device?
No. I have been using it regularly for four months and have no complaints. It keeps charging for a long time and is durable. I love the comfortable silicone liner too!
Who do you think should consider buying Dr. Dennis Gross LED Mask?
At $455, this LED mask is an investment—one that I found to be well worth the cost. I really appreciate its ease of use and ease of use at home.
If you’re looking to invest in a device to treat acne, fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, redness and inflammation, and skin tightness, this FDA-cleared LED device could be a great product to try. I recommend that you consult with your dermatologist for personalized information on whether LED light therapy is right for you.
