According to the Mumbai police, Akash and his wife were riding two-wheelers when the driver, identified as Avinash Kadam, cut them and passed them.
In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old youth was brutally beaten to death by a mob in front of his family in Mumbai’s Malad (East).
The deceased has been identified as Akash Dattatray Mayin who is a member of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirma Sena (MNS). He was with his parents when an argument broke out between people on Saturday.

The incident took place when a heated argument broke out after one car collided with another, reports said The Indian Express.
According to the Mumbai police, Akash and his wife were riding two-wheelers when the driver, identified as Avinash Kadam, cut them and passed them. When Akash went to confront Kadam, trouble broke out as other motorists joined him and started beating him.
“During the argument, Mayin, who was furious, grabbed the autorickshaw driver and his two friends. After this, the autorickshaw driver and his two friends, along with a few others, beat up Mayin,” The Indian Express reported the police chief.
Dindoshi police have registered a case against Kadam and others on the complaint of Mayin’s wife. With the help of CCTV footage, police have arrested nine suspects, six of whom have been identified as Avinash Namdev Kadam, Amit Joginder Vishwakarma, Aditya Dinesh Singh, Jayaprakash Deepak Amte, Rakesh Malku Dhawale and Sahil Sikandar Kadam.
The police also found the stone used by the suspect in the murder. “The investigation revealed that it was a case of violence on the road. The police stepped up and arrested the suspects who had fled to other regions,” added the police chief. The police brought them to court. All the suspects were kept in police custody until October 22.
“Mayin was kicked and punched, leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. Based on CCTV footage, we arrested six people on Sunday and three on Monday. They have been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder and other offences. “All the suspects were brought to court where the court remanded them in police custody until October 22,” said the center. ANI he quoted a statement from the Mumbai police.
