Hours after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) booked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a money laundering case, his wife on Monday wrote to MUDA appealing her decision to revoke the ownership and possession of 14 plots saying there is no land, house, property and huge wealth. in addition to her husband’s respect, dignity, honor and peace of mind.
“Smt. Parvathi’s son, Dr Yathindra, who is MLC, had sent a letter….we have passed the provisions in our act. There are provisions in our act to take it if we return it voluntarily,” MUDA Commissioner AN Raghunandan. said.
Speaking to reporters here, he said, “After consulting with the panel’s lawyers and the legal officer, and after finding that everything is correct, we have come to a conclusion. Therefore, we have ordered to take it back. We have ordered to cancel the deed and transfer it to the sub registrar.”
On Monday, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) registered an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR), equivalent to an FIR by the police, against the Chief Minister for alleged irregularities in the allotment of 14 plots to his wife by MUDA.
Lokayukta police on September 27 registered an FIR against Siddaramaiah, his wife, brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, Devaraju — from whom Mallikarjuna Swamy bought the land and gave it to Parvathi — and others, following the order of the Special Court.
The order by the Special Court Judge, Santhosh Gajanan Bhat, came a day after the Supreme Court upheld the Governor’s order to conduct an inquiry into Siddaramaiah.
In the MUDA land allotment case, it is alleged that 14 compensation plots were allotted to Siddaramaiah’s wife in the market area of ​​Mysuru (Vijayanagar Layout 3rd and 4th stage), which has a higher property value compared to the area of ​​her previously built-up property. “discovered” by MUDA.
MUDA has allotted Parvathi a plot under the 50:50 ratio scheme in lieu of 3.16 hectares of her land, where she is constructing a residential building.
Under the controversial scheme, MUDA allots 50 per cent of land to the land losers in lieu of undeveloped land acquired from them for construction of residential buildings. It is alleged that Parvathi had no legal title over this 3.16 hectare land in survey number 464 in Kasare village, Kasaba hobli of Mysuru taluk.
