Lulu Group will invest heavily in Vizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati

A day after meeting the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chairman of Lulu Group MA Yusuff Ali said in a message on social media, X, on September 29, 2024 (Sunday) that the company has decided to start a world-class shopping mall. with an eight-screen Imax multiplex in Visakhapatnam, state-of-the-art hypermarkets in Vijayawada and Tirupati, and modern food processing and planning facilities.

Mr. Yusuff Ali revealed that the discussions he had with the company’s executive director Ashraf Ali and Mr. Naidu was bearing fruit, and that he had 18 years of brotherly relationship with the Chief Minister.

It may be recalled that the Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group came forward to set up an international convention center and create other facilities in Visakhapatnam which invested heavily during the TDP regime in 2014-19, but had to withdraw following land clearance. As a result, the various conglomerate had vowed not to invest in Andhra Pradesh again.

Now, as the TDP-led NDA Government in the State is pursuing investment opportunities in renewable energy, the Lulu Group Chairman met with Mr. Naidu on September 28 and promised to invest. So, Lulu Group is planning to come back to Andhra Pradesh.
