Liam Payne’s Death: Waiter Arrested for Alleged Drug Supply to Star

Payne, who rose to fame as one of the five members of the boy band One Direction, died on October 16, 2024 after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old.

A preliminary autopsy identified “multiple trauma” as the cause of Payne’s death, including bleeding to the chest, skull and abdomen. A partial autopsy revealed multiple drugs were reportedly found in his system at the time of his death, including traces of “pink cocaine” – a mixture of methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA – cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.

Paiz was one of five people indicted on Monday, December 30 by Argentina’s National Office of Criminal Prosecution and Corrections in connection with Payne’s death.

In addition to Paiz, a CasaSur employee Ezequiel Pereyra He was also charged with supplying drugs to Payne before his death.

He continued, “We exchanged information and saw each other that night. Everything was normal.”

Paiz insisted, “I never gave Liam drugs,” adding that the couple planned to meet at the “Hyatt in Palermo” on October 2. They met again at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires on October 13.

“We used drugs together, but I never took drugs from him or accepted money,” he said, adding that he and Payne still have text messages to arrange their second meeting.

Payne’s funeral was held in Amersham, England, on Wednesday, November 20. Payne’s former One Direction bandmate — Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik again Niall Horan – were among those present.
