Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and other Ministers at a meeting held at the premises of AICC General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The 90-minute meeting of Telangana Cabinet Ministers and AICC General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal discussed the road map for the success of the local body elections and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, and the steps to be taken.
The meeting held at Mr. Venugopal’s residence was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Seethakka, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Damodar Rajnarsimha, Jupally Krishna Rao and AICC President Deepadas Munsi.
Mr. Venugopal apparently expressed satisfaction with the government’s performance in Telangana and party affairs. He ordered that the caste-wise census should be completed early and preparations should be made for local board elections. He also asked the ministers in charge to visit their assigned regions and solve the problems of workers.
Later, TPCC chief Mahesh Goud told reporters that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting on ‘Samvidhan Bachao’ to be held in February in Khammam or Suryapet. He also said that the meeting continued to discuss the issues of the group and decided that by the end of the month the suggested vacancies would be filled. The new PCC executive committee will also be finalized soon. District Conference Committee (DCC) presidents will be selected based on their performance at the field level.
Answering the question, Mr. Goud said the Chief Minister and the high command will take a decision on expansion, changes and additions to the Cabinet.
