Kasanggayahan 2024 kicks off with the National Festival competition in Sorsogon

Participants from all over the country participated in this year’s national Festival of Festivals held in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon.
First lady Louise Araneta-Marcos won the opening ceremony held at the newly built Sorsogon Sports Complex in the city.
In his brief message, Senate President Francis “Chiz” G. Escudero thanked the First Lady for attending the event and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for his support for the annual pageant.

The Kasanggayahan Festival is the biggest in the state and one of the highlights of the annual festival is the National Festival Competition.

Groups from across the country presented performances that highlighted the unique narratives of the traditional cultures and practices of their regions.
As announced by the First Lady, President Marcos awarded another P1 million each to the top three prizes, making the total amount P4 million for first place, P3 million for second place, and P2 million for third place.

Sorsogon celebrates 50 yearsth The annual celebration of the Kasanggayahan Festival, which coincides with the 130th Memorial of the establishment of the province, and 455th commemoration of the first mass held in Luzon.

Before the competition, the Sorsoganons were given a concert that included the best singers in the country including Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Gudicelli and Bamboo.
