Participants from all over the country participated in this year’s national Festival of Festivals held in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon.
First lady Louise Araneta-Marcos won the opening ceremony held at the newly built Sorsogon Sports Complex in the city.
In his brief message, Senate President Francis “Chiz” G. Escudero thanked the First Lady for attending the event and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for his support for the annual pageant.
“Sino mag-aakala na will be tayo ng this kind of class the platform kung saan makakanood tayo ng ibabig fun, hindi lamang sa panahan ng Kasanggayahan, but for any occasion in our province,” said Mr. Escudero, former governor of Sorsogon from 2019 to 2022.

The Kasanggayahan Festival is the biggest in the state and one of the highlights of the annual festival is the National Festival Competition.
Groups from across the country presented performances that highlighted the unique narratives of the traditional cultures and practices of their regions.
As announced by the First Lady, President Marcos awarded another P1 million each to the top three prizes, making the total amount P4 million for first place, P3 million for second place, and P2 million for third place.

Sorsogon celebrates 50 yearsth The annual celebration of the Kasanggayahan Festival, which coincides with the 130th Memorial of the establishment of the province, and 455th commemoration of the first mass held in Luzon.
“Thank you so much for supporting me and Pangulong Bongbong Marcos of kay First lady Liza Araneta-Marcos na gamala dito sa masahahang occassiona sa ating mahimat na prasina ng Sorsogon. Talagang malayo nang lating ng Sorsogon and move the mas malayo and the mararating natin of mahram and panahon,” said Mr. Escudero.

Before the competition, the Sorsoganons were given a concert that included the best singers in the country including Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Gudicelli and Bamboo.
