The Joker is a sad, dark story of a mentally ill man, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), society pushes to the edge of the abyss, and he chooses to take jump. The Joker 2 it’s a courtroom drama that literally contradicts the plot of the first film, with less of Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn than you’d expect, and it’s also a musical. It’s not real music, but jukebox music, which means there are no real songs, and they’re 60s-70s tracks, so even in that aspect, the film doesn’t really commit.
