Jason Kelce Dresses Up as Santa Claus and Brings the Christmas Spirit to ESPN

Jason Kelce sleighing the holiday season during ESPN’s holiday programming Monday Night Countdown.

Kelce, 37, dressed as Santa Claus broadcast on Monday, December 23 before the game between the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay, Wisconsin at Lambeau Field.

The show opened with Kelce, dressed as Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, singing an improvised version of “Silent Night” which gave a standing ovation to one of his songs. Monday Night Countdown ambassadors.

“Marcus Spears, aka Swagoo / See you soon,” Kelce sings. “Football is so much fun.”

Monday Night Countdown the host Scott Van Pelt first mocked Kelce’s funny appearance on Monday afternoon.

“Coming from MNCD….,” Van Pelt, 58, shared on X, alongside a photo of Kelce as Santa and Van Pelt dressed as Buddy the Elf, Will Ferrell’s character The Elf.

The first thing Van Pelt’s fans noticed was Kelce’s weight loss, which made for a very skinny Santa.

“Kelce looks so thin!!” one person wrote about X. “Definitely my favorite Santa.” Another said, “Omg Kelce is a little Santa 🎅🏻.”

On the Thursday, November 19 bonus episode of Kelce’s podcast “New Heights,” Kelce revealed how he discovered the truth about Santa Claus while growing up in Ohio.

“Someone told me, and I don’t remember how old I was,” he recalled. “I was in primary school. But I remember coming home and asking my mom and dad and being sat down and they explained to me, ‘Unfortunately, it’s not true. But we need you not to tell Travis.’”

Kelce co-hosts a popular podcast with his younger brother, Travis Kelcewho praised Jason for not wasting it.

“Well, Jason didn’t tell me,” said Travis, 35. “I saw for myself when every gift had my mom’s handwriting on it.”

Jason laughed as Travis remembered that their mother, Donna Kelcewithout realizing it, he took the cat out of the bag.

“I was like, ‘This is how mom spells all our names,'” Travis said. “I was like, ‘What if—? Where is Santa and not mom? Santa and mom have the same handwriting, that’s crazy.’”

The game between the Saints and the Packers marks the final Monday Night Countdown broadcast before Christmas. The Crew returns to the air on Monday, December 30, when the Detroit Lions travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers.
