James Van Der Beek and the wife Kimberly Van Der Beek they have been single for over 10 years.
I Dawson’s Creek alum met Kimberly in 2009, less than a year after finalizing his divorce from his ex-wife Heather McComb.
“I was in Israel, on a trip with an organized group, when it hit me: I had finished celibacy. I wanted a real relationship. A soul mate. Someone I could build a family with. I was in the middle of a revelation, talking about all this to my friend when a voice interrupted us, wanting to ask him a question,” James recalled in an August 2020 post on Instagram. “I was angry. Who the hell was stepping on all my time? I turned around … it was @vanderkimberly.”
Us Weekly confirmed in August 2010 that the pair tied the knot in a “small spiritual ceremony” in Tel Aviv – where they first met. They shared six children.
