The death toll in the LPG tank fire on December 20 on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway has risen to 19, while 20 seriously injured patients are still being treated at SMS Hospital.

Another person who was seriously injured in the December 20 tank fire accident in Jaipur died while being treated at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, the death toll reached 19.
Dr. Rakesh Jain, a doctor at SMS Hospital, reported that 28-year-old Lalaram, who suffered 60 percent burns, was put on a ventilator after being injured in the accident; However, he passed away at around 9.20 am.
“Currently, there are 20 seriously injured patients being treated in the hospital’s burn ward, three of them have been fitted with ventilators. Lalaram’s body has been placed in the hospital’s mortuary and will be handed over to his family following the post-mortem examination by the health board,” said Dr Jain.
The death toll in the Jaipur-Ajmer highway accident is rising. On Wednesday, three patients died from their injuries, following two deaths on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, five patients were discharged from the hospital – three on December 23 and two on December 24.
On December 25, 22-year-old Vijeta, a resident of Pratapgarh, died at 4 am, followed by 36-year-old Vijendra from Bhuribaraj, Jaipur, who died at 9.30 am. Later, around 1 pm, 35-year-old Banshilal succumbed to his injuries. Vijeta and Vijendra burned 70 percent each.
On December 24, two more victims lost their lives. They have been identified as Naresh Babu from Etah, Uttar Pradesh, and Yusuf from Nuh, Haryana.
A horrific accident took place near DPS Bhankrota on Ajmer Road in Jaipur on December 20 resulting in heavy loss of life. Four people were burnt alive at the scene, while eight others died on the same day while being treated at Sawai Man Singh Hospital. Another person died later at a hospital in Jaipuria.
The accident occurred when a truck collided with an LPG tanker, and the gas that was leaking started a fire that spread across the highway.
Jaiveer Singh, who is the driver of the tank, told the police that he was alone in the car at the time of the incident. He said: “Without wasting time, I started running.” The gas that came out of the cart spread like a ball of fire on the street. When I reached the ring road, I called the owner of the truck, Anil Kumar, and informed him. with the incident after that, I turned off my cell phone.”
Further investigation is underway in this incident.
