Baba Siddique, a senior NCP leader led by Ajit Pawar, was shot dead near the office of his son Zeeshan Siddique in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai, on October 12.

Amid the ongoing investigation into the murder of his father Baba Siddique, Member of Parliament Zeeshan Siddique last Friday shared a cryptic text on the social media platform X, leaving many to speculate as to its meaning.

“It is not all that is hidden that sleeps, Nor all that is visible that speaks,” reads Zeeshan’s post. The meaning of his message is still unclear.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and a senior NCP leader led by Ajit Pawar, was shot dead near his son Zeeshan’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai, on October 12.

On Thursday, Zeeshan demanded justice for his family, saying that the death of his 66-year-old father should not be politicized or in vain.

“My father lost his life protecting and saving the lives and homes of poor innocent people. Today, my family is broken but his death must not be politicized and will definitely not go in vain. I NEED JUSTICE, MY FAMILY NEEDS JUSTICE!,” he wrote.

Zeeshan met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis the other day to get updates on the police investigation into his father’s murder.

Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio in the Eknath Shinde government, briefed the Bandra East MLA about the investigation in the presence of Crime Branch officials.

So far, Mumbai police have arrested nine people in connection with the murder, including five arrested on Friday during raids in Panvel and Karjat in neighboring Raigad district.

The main shooter in the case, Shivkumar Gautam, along with Shubham Lonkar and Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, are still absconding.
