The India SME Forum (ISF), a non-profit organization for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), launched a program on Saturday titled “Start Shipping in Eight Weeks”, to collaborate with e-commerce shipping leaders like Amazon in promoting ‘ Make with Indian products.
Launched under ISF’s flagship program IndiaXports’, the initiative was announced by Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje at the Business Beyond Borders 2024 Summit in the presence of MSMEs and industry leaders.

In a statement, the NGO said the new “Start Exporting in Eight Weeks” program is designed to enable Indian MSMEs to access global markets and boost exports in just eight weeks. It will provide comprehensive guidance, resources and free networking opportunities for MSMEs who wish to explore global market opportunities and expand their reach.
Speaking at the launch of the programme, Karandlaje said, “MSMEs play a vital role in contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, and their success is essential to our nation’s journey to become a developed and self-reliant India. In today’s highly competitive landscape, skills and and skill development is important, and it is important that our products meet international, export quality standards.”
“Through platforms like the India SME Forum and its partners like Amazon, UPS etc. and the new program launched today, our entrepreneurs will be connected to global markets, opening up new avenues for growth and collaboration. Let’s take full advantage of these opportunities and continue to strive for global excellence.” ,” he said.
Vinod Kumar, President of India SME Forum, said, IE-commerce has become a game-changer, breaking down traditional trade barriers and allowing even the smallest businesses to reach international customers with ease. By using digital platforms, MSMEs can overcome many of the challenges of exporting goods, making global trade more accessible than ever.”
The First Eight Week Shipping Program is a move towards transforming Indian MSMEs into a global trading hub.
“By equipping them with valuable tools, knowledge, and access to international markets, we are enabling these businesses to become independent, compete globally and contribute significantly to India’s economic growth. We believe that with the right support, Indian MSMEs have the potential to compete with the best in the world,” he added.
