Hyderabad Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday (January 4, 2025) criticized the government’s handling of China, which it suspects is weak and fears that country.

Speaking to the media about reports of China building new territories in Indian territory, Mr. Owaisi said, “What is this language of putting up strong protests and inviting them to invest in India? In our world they build dams and establish districts,” he said.

Mr. Owaisi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to send a chadar to a Muslim shrine while accusing the BJP and Sangh Parivar parties of undermining the legitimacy of Muslim religious sites. “The Prime Minister sent the chadar, but the BJP and Sangh Parivar organizations have been moving courts to dig up and question the legality of dargahs and masjids. If the PM had wanted, this issue would have been over.” Mr. Owaisi said that the act (of posting the chadar) shows that the principles acknowledge that these are places of worship for Muslims.

In the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Mr. Owaisi confirmed that AIMIM is preparing to contest. “We decide how many candidates will run for election. We will fight the election with all our heart,” he said.
