How Aaron Carter’s Twin Angel Carter Honors His Life

About two years later Aaron Carterhis death, his twin, Angel Carterhe continues to turn his pain into purpose.

“After Aaron died, I said, ‘We have to do something to continue the conversation about mental health and we have to use his platform to be something positive,'” Angel said alone. On November 5, 2022, Aaron was found dead at his California home. He was 34 years old. According to the coroner’s report, the “I Want Candy” singer drowned in the bathtub due to the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam. His death was ruled an accident.

Besides Aaron, Angel also mourned the death of her sister Leslie Carter – who died of an overdose in 2012 at the age of 25 – and Bobbie Jean Carterwho died of “intoxication from the combined effects of fentanyl and methamphetamine” at the age of 41 in 2023.

When asked to share her advice on dealing with grief, Angel – who works with the Kids Mental Health Foundation – reminded people that they are never alone.

“Aaron was a deep lover. He really was,” said Angel Us. “He was a good person.”

“I always say this about both brothers that at the end of the day, they’re both really humble, down-to-earth people,” he added while referring to both Aaron and the Backstreet Boys member.
