How Aaron Carter’s Twin Angel Carter Honors His Life

About two years later Aaron Carterhis death, his twin, Angel Carterhe continues to turn his pain into purpose.

“After Aaron died, I said, ‘We have to do something to continue the conversation about mental health and we have to use his platform to be something positive,'” Angel said alone. Us Weekly at Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA Los Angeles Premiere on Thursday, October 24.[Turning] Aaron’s platform has been a positive and meaningful thing for the community, I know Aaron better than anyone, and that’s exactly what he in his right mind would want to do.”

“Unfortunately, due to mental health issues and drug addiction and dysfunction in the family, he lost his sense of who he was,” he continued. “I hope to be her vessel to continue that conversation and really change the narrative of my family.”

On November 5, 2022, Aaron was found dead at his California home. He was 34 years old. According to the coroner’s report, the “I Want Candy” singer drowned in the bathtub due to the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam. His death was ruled an accident.

Besides Aaron, Angel also mourned the death of her sister Leslie Carter – who died of an overdose in 2012 at the age of 25 – and Bobbie Jean Carterwho died of “intoxication from the combined effects of fentanyl and methamphetamine” at the age of 41 in 2023.

When asked to share her advice on dealing with grief, Angel – who works with the Kids Mental Health Foundation – reminded people that they are never alone.

“We are in this together,” he said Us at the Santa Monica Pier. “Community with people and communication is what matters most at the end of the day.”

With the help of her husband of 10 years Corey ConradAngel continues to use her voice to raise awareness about mental health. He wants fans to remember his brother as a talented musician who was kind to everyone he met.

“Aaron was a deep lover. He really was,” said Angel Us. “He was a good person.”

“I always say this about both brothers that at the end of the day, they’re both really humble, down-to-earth people,” he added while referring to both Aaron and the Backstreet Boys member. Nick Carter. “I always joke with friends, ‘Nick just drives a Ford truck every day when he’s not Backstreet Boy.’ Growing up in Florida and coming from a family that made us, at the end of the day, really down to earth. We are all the same.”
