Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced 4 percent DA for employees and pensioners of the State benefiting 1.80 lakh employees and 1.70 lakh pensioners from January 1, 2023 thus bearing an additional burden of Rs 600 crore annually on -State Exchequer.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister announced that the employees and pensioners will receive their November salary and pension on 28th October before Deepawali.
He said this while talking to the media here today. The Chief Minister also announced that he will clear all pending medical bills of employees and retirees with a provision of Rs. 10 million have already been made. He directed the concerned departments to clear all pending medical expenses this month and adequate budget will be given to the departments to do this according to their need.
He also announced that all arrears will be paid to all pensioners over the age of 75. He said that this financial year R202 will be spent on salary and pension money.
He also announced that another payment of money owed amounting to Rs. 20,000 for class-IV employees will be released from this money itself.
Himachal Pradesh will be independent by 2027 and there was no financial problem as it is spread in the media by the National and State BJP leaders. He took charge of the leader of the opposition by spreading lies about the financial condition of the State and even misleading the Prime Minister and the national President of the BJP.
He said the BJP is leaving no stone unturned in spreading lies about the financial health of the State. The payment of the right amount of workers including DA and arrears is proof of the fact that the State Government was committed to addressing the grievances of its workers and there is no financial crisis at present.
