Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, launched last year, are getting a bunch of updates, according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg who also announced the new Meta Quest 3S and Project Orion (AR glasses that aren’t ready for sale yet. ) .
Zuckerberg highlighted several new features, including more natural conversations with Meta AI, the AI assistant behind Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

He also introduced live language translation for one-to-one communication and “Be My Eyes” support, which allows volunteers to help visually impaired users by explaining what they see through glasses.
However, there is one feature coming to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses that aims to solve a common frustration for drivers: providing reminders of where they parked.
Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses can help you remember where you parked
“We’re adding the ability of glasses to help you remember things,” Zuckerberg said at Meta Connect 2024.

Demonstrating the use of this, Zuckerberg gave an example where a user wearing Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses said, “Hey Meta, remember where I parked.”

Meta AI noticed this in the simulated demo. When the user returns, ask them, “Hey Meta, remember where I parked?”
In response, the Meta AI said, “You parked in space 9702.”
“When you go somewhere, don’t forget where you parked,” Zuckerberg said. “Now, it will help you with that; you have your glasses covered.”
While Meta AI can tell you where to park, there’s a funny thing you need to remember to ask in the first place. For forgetful users, the challenge may not only be finding the car, but also remembering to ask for Meta AI’s help. That said, the parking reminder feature is just one of the many useful features that Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses offer.
Zuckerberg also talked about grocery shopping as a form of consumption. For example, if you need an avocado smoothie later, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses can remind you to pick it up at the store before you go home.
Zuckerberg did not give an exact date for when we can expect these updates, but said they are coming soon.
