Under the Haryana government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana’, senior citizens from poor families will now undertake a pilgrimage to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj at the government’s expense. Under this scheme, the government will facilitate the travel of citizens from all the districts of Haryana to witness the Maha Kumbh Tirtha Darshan.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made the announcement while presiding over a meeting of Administrative Secretaries here today, where he reviewed the achievements of the present government in the last 100 days.
In a press release, the government said that under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana,’ eligible citizens aged 60 and above are already being sent to Ayodhya to seek darshan of Ram Lalla. This program also includes visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Shirdi Sai Tirtha. Now, the scope of the program has been expanded to include the Mahakumbh Tirtha at Prayagraj, in addition to the existing sites at Ayodhya, Mata Vaishno Devi, and Shirdi.
The Chief Minister said that during the first 100 days of the current government, several important steps have been taken to improve all sectors, including agriculture, education and health. The Chief Minister also held detailed discussions with officials to ensure the successful implementation of the government’s welfare program, both in the first 100 days and the next five years.
