Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has retained key portfolios, including home and finance, as cabinet positions were allocated by the Council of Ministers on Sunday. This happened just after three days the swearing in of the new government in the state.
Saini will manage 12 portfolios, including home and finance. He will also be in charge of planning, taxation and taxation, city and country planning and urban areas, information, public relations, language and culture, criminal investigation, legal and legal affairs, and housing for all departments.
Anil Vij, Member of Parliament from Ambala Cantt, has been allotted the portfolios of power and transport, as well as the labor department. He held the home post under former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The health department has now been handed over to Arti Singh Rao, who will also look after the health education and research and Ayush departments.
Rao Narbir Singh has been given the portfolios of industry, commerce, environment, forest and wildlife, while Mahipal Dhanda will be in charge of school education. Vipul Goel handles revenue, disaster management, urban local bodies, and civil aviation, with Arvind Sharma in charge of prisons and partnerships.
Shyam Singh Rana will oversee agriculture and farmer welfare, while Ranbir Gangwa will handle public health engineering. Krishan Kumar Bedi has been given social justice, empowerment, and welfare of SC/BCs, while Shruti Choudhry will handle women and child development.
Saini, 54, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana at a grand ceremony in Panchkula on Thursday attended by NDA leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and thousands of people from across the country. Apart from him, 13 Members of Parliament, including two women, took the oath.
