With less than 47 days to go until the November election, Vice President Harris and former President Trump have been arrested with potential voters in Pennsylvania, a state that could decide the race on Election Day.
Trump and Harris received 49% of likely voters in the Keystone State, according to a new Marist Poll.
In addition, 90% of voters who say they prefer the election also report that they strongly support it.

“Pennsylvania is attracting the attention of Rust Belt states for presidential candidates and for good reason,” said Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion. “It’s the biggest award in the state and the most competitive. Winning Pennsylvania doesn’t guarantee the White House, but it goes a long way.”
In two other so-called “blue wall” states, Michigan and Wisconsin, Harris outperformed Trump in the survey.
The vice president is up five points in Michigan, 52% to Trump’s 47%. However, the margin is razor-thin in Wisconsin, where she beat him by just one point, 50% to 49%.
According to Miringoff, “of these three states called blue wall, Michigan is where there is a difference between Harris and Trump.”

“Michigan’s vote is driven by Trump’s misalignment with Vance who offers nothing for the GOP ticket,” Miringoff added, referring to the 53% of Michigan likely voters who view Trump negatively.
Inflation has been a big concern for most Pennsylvanians by far, one-third say so. Despite being the top campaign for Democrats nationwide, abortion was the fourth most likely issue for voters, at just 11%. It was beaten by immigrants with 15%, and maintaining democracy, which received 27%.
The top divisive issue among Wisconsin voters was similar to that of Pennsylvania, but in Michigan, the issue of Democratic retention appeared more important to a larger number of voters.

At 30%, Michigan voters are likely to say so. Inflation was far behind, at 29%. Immigration followed at 15%, and abortion at 10%.
In all three states, there is a gender gap of at least 20 points between Harris and Trump, with men more likely to vote for the former president and women more likely to vote for Harris.

Although there is a gap between the two, Trump’s woes with women seem to be greater than Harris’s issue with men. Trump’s gap is especially wide among women in Michigan, where Harris leads him by a large margin. In the district, the distance between Harris and Trump among likely female voters is 15 points.
