Gold prices today: 24-carat gold up to Rs 77,740, silver up by Rs 100

Gold prices saw a slight rise in early trade on Friday, with the cost of 10 grams of 24-carat gold rising by Rs 10 to Rs 77,740, according to the GoodReturns website. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold also recorded an increase of Rs 10, trading at Rs 71,260 per 10 grams.

Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad: 10 grams of 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 77,740, while 22-carat gold is sold at Rs 71,260.
Delhi: 24-carat gold is Rs 77,890 for 10 grams, while 22-carat gold costs Rs 71,410.

Silver prices are going up
Silver price rose by Rs 100, trading at Rs 91,700 in Mumbai. In Chennai, silver is the most expensive, costing Rs 99,100, while in Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata, it is Rs 92,600 per kg.

Global market update
In international markets, local gold sank 0.2 percent to $2,630.28 an ounce in light trade, but the precious metal was poised for weekly gains. Spot silver was also down 0.2 percent at $29.75 an ounce, while platinum was up 0.1 percent at $936.85.
