Garth Brooks Speaks Out Under SA Allegations During Fan Broadcast

Garth Brooks began a recent live stream by briefly admitting sexual harassment allegations made by her former hairdresser.

“A lot has happened in the last two weeks. Let’s address the elephant in the room, shall we?” Brooks, 62, said on Monday, October 7, “Inside Studio G” fans chat on TalkShopLive. “This thing is going on, it’s going to happen, and people are telling me that it might take two years. ok? So, my suggestion is, well, take a deep breath, let’s all just settle down and hold hands and take a trip together, because it’s something you can’t talk about. That’s all we can say about it.”

Noting that some viewers may have been listening to hear him talk about the game, he added, “For those who joined us tonight to hear that, I invite you to have a good night’s rest, because this is the last thing we can say. About it.”

He then went on to discuss his work for Habitat for Humanity and his time living in Las Vegas.

Brooks made headlines last week after a former hair stylist and makeup artist, known as “Jane Roe,” accused him of sexual harassment and assault in a lawsuit filed on Thursday, October 3. Us Weeklythis woman accused Brooks of allegedly raping her during the two years she worked for him in 2019.

In her lawsuit, Roe accused Brooks of sending her lewd messages, exposing her private parts and buttocks in front of her, discussing sexual thoughts with her and forcing his hands on her private parts after she got out of the shower naked during the 2019 incident. Additionally, Roe alleges that Brooks made “repeated statements” about wanting to be with his wife, Trisha Yearwood.

Before Roe filed his lawsuit, Brooks filed his complaint anonymously in an attempt to prevent him from repeating his allegations and denying his claims. His legal documents say that after he loaned money to Roe, he escalated his demands and asked for wages and medical benefits. When she refused his request, Roe allegedly threatened her with her sexual misconduct claims and demanded “millions of dollars” from her in letters filed in the complaint.

“The defendant’s allegations are not true,” Brooks said. “The defendant is well aware, however, of the great, irreparable damage such false allegations can do to the plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, as well as the inevitable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood. would be the result if he accepted his threat to ‘make public’ his false accusation.”
