The Tamil Nadu government on Sunday (December 15, 2024) announced that the funeral of senior Tamil Nadu Congress Committee leader and Erode (East) MP EVKS Elangovan will be conducted with state honours.

Mr. Elangovan has served the community well in Tamil Nadu and Indian politics. He spoke what was in his heart, said the government’s statement and expressed his condolences.
In honor of his public life, EVKS Elangovan will be cremated with state honours, it added.
