Robots have been exiled and Millie Bobby Brown is on a revenge spree in Netflix’s star-studded sci-fi adventure, set in a distinctly “retro” ’90s (fml) era.
Based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo of the MCU, The Electric State sees Brown star as Michelle, a young woman without a family who meets a robot named Cosmo. But surprisingly, Cosmo is controlled by a human – his long-lost brother! He’s crossing the country somewhere, and there are bad things going on, so Michelle and Cosmo hit the road to find him.

Along the way, they meet smuggler Keats (Chris Pratt), then head to a place called the Exclusion Zone, meeting many robots along the way. The cast includes, Ke Huy Quan, Stanley Tucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Alexander, and Woody Norman, with voice acting by Brian Cox, Colman Domingo, Jenny Slate, Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Hank Azaria, and Alan Tudyk.
