Delhi man stabs mother for ‘not allowing’ him to move to Canada | Delhi News

Johannesburg – A 50-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her son who allegedly did not allow her to go to work in Canada, said the police here on Saturday.

The incident took place in southeast Delhi’s Molarband village of Badarpur, they said.

After killing his mother on the night of November 6, the accused, Krishna Kant, 31, called his father Surjeet Singh (52) and asked him to come home, they said.

When Singh came home, Krishan Kant said “I’m sorry” to him and asked him to go upstairs to see what he had done, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-east) Ravi Kumar Singh.

When he reached the first floor of the house, Singh found his wife Geeta lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on her body, adding that during this time the accused managed to escape.

Festive offer

Singh rushed Geeta to Apollo Hospital, where she was declared dead, police said.

The DCP said Singh has two sons. While his younger son, Sahil Bholi, 27, works in a bank. Krishan Kant was unemployed and addicted to drugs.

“Both sons are single and at the time of the incident only Geeta and the suspect were at home,” said the police officer.

Krishan Kant was later arrested at the location and a case of murder has been registered against him, said the police officer.

During interrogation, he revealed that he wanted to move to Canada but his family wanted him to get married first.

On the day of the murder, an argument broke out between mother and son and Krishan Kant ended up stabbing Geeta with a knife he bought later, police said.

Singh works in real estate and has an office at Tanki Road in Jaitpur, the police officer said.
