Special camps are being set up for the beneficiaries to take advantage of the ‘Sasta Ghar’ scheme of the DDA which was approved by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena last week, an official statement said on Saturday.
The LG Secretary has written to the Chief Secretary to get special camps organized by the concerned departments to facilitate the beneficiaries of the recently announced DDA Housing Scheme, where certain sections will be able to purchase houses at a discount of 25 per person. cent, the statement said.
The categories identified include construction and other workers, auto/tax drivers, women, Vir Nari, ex-servicemen, divyangjans, gallantry and Arjun awardees and people belonging to scheduled/scheduled tribes, it said.
Therefore, special camps will be launched by Delhi Building and other Building Welfare Boards in construction sites of DMRC, NCRTC, CPWD, NHAI and other areas in a systematic manner to find out this plan and to issue another plan of the board, it said. .
Priority will be given to workers, laborers, jhuggi residents and those living in rented accommodation.
The Rajya Sainik Board will conduct special outreach programs among Vir Nari, Ex-servicemen and Gallantry/Arjun Awardees. The Department of Transport will organize awareness campaigns and hold special camps at ARU/VIU Burari for auto/taxi drivers to use the scheme, he said.
Delhi Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation will facilitate loan for SC/ST applicants and WCD, social welfare, SC/ST department will have special camps for street vendors, women, people from SC/ST category and – divyangjans.
The DDA will ensure the presence of concerned DDA officials at each camping site, with complete details of programs and forms with Nodal officials appointed by the concerned department and DDA at all camps, it said.
The camps started functioning from Saturday and the departments have been asked to submit a report on outreach programs through the Chief Secretary within 15 days for the LG to study, it added.
