David Duchovny Calls Alec Baldwin ‘Biblical Figure’ as Father and Grandfather

David Duchovny called Alec Baldwin “biblical figure” after having a child and a grandchild in the same year – and Baldwin has fully embraced his new title.

On the Monday, December 16, episode of Duchovny’s “Fail Better” podcast, Baldwin, 66, shared that although he is a father of eight, only seven of his children stay at home. He explained that his eldest daughter, Ireland Baldwinshe lives in the Pacific Northwest and is now a mother herself.

“You just had a baby, so I’m a father and a grandfather in the same year,” Alec blurted out to Duchovny, who was surprised by that.

The podcast host, 64, joked, “He’s like a man in the Bible,” noting how different it is to become a father and grandfather in just a few months.

“I’ll take that from you — I’ll say, ‘Duchovny said it best, I’m a biblical character,'” Alec replied. “I’ll quote you, man. I love that. That’s cool.”

Alec welcomed Ireland, now 29, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger in 1995 30 The rock alum and Basinger, 71, finalized their divorce in 2002 after nine years of marriage.

Alec continued with his wife Hilaria Baldwinwhom he married in 2012. The couple has seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, Maria, 3, and Ilaria, 2.

Despite the age difference, both Alec’s wife and the eldest child announced their pregnancy in 2022.

Hilaria, 40, revealed in March that they were expecting another little one after welcoming child 6 in 2021. Hilaria gave birth to daughter Ilaria in September 2022.

Ireland, on the other hand, shared on Instagram in December 2022 that she and her boyfriend RAC (real name André Allen Anjos) were expecting their first child together. The couple welcomed their daughter, Holland, in May 2023, making her six months younger than Alec and Hilaria’s youngest child.

Earlier this year, Ireland, 29, shared a series of Instagram photos from when Holland met his “aunties and uncles,” who are his seven siblings. The post included a video of Holland pulling one of the child’s arms while another child ran across the room in a Spider-Man costume.

Ireland returned to New York City for a visit earlier this week, strolling Times Square with her father and stepmother, according to Hilaria’s Instagram Story. “Family outing,” she captioned the clip shared on Monday, December 16.

In the video, Ireland went with Alec and Hilaria and lit up the Big Apple. Ireland later posted her own photos of the trip, teasing, “Holland might be a New Yorker 😵‍💫 Time to go home 🩷✨.”

Ireland showed photos of her daughter looking at a large fireplace decorated with garlands, bows and Christmas lights and a mother-daughter selfie with the cold weather bonding.
