The New York Jets are reportedly at the top of Davante Adams’ wish list if the Las Vegas Raiders want to trade their star wideout, and reuniting with quarterback Aaron Rodgers is high on many contenders.
The Jets are the odds-on favorite to land Adams at -150 at SportsBetting.ag, where the market opened with New York at +100 on Wednesday morning. That quickly changed when ESPN reported that Adams was choosing the Big Apple or the Big Easy, where another potential reunion awaited with Raiders cornerback Derek Carr.
After the report, the odds of the New Orleans Saints trading Adams changed from +700 to +300, including the short second and the Washington Commanders. While adding Adams to the league’s sixth-ranked offense led by dynamic quarterback Jayden Daniels may be enticing, the Commanders could also choose to deal with the 27th-ranked defense if they hit the trade market.
Other significant moves in the hours after the Adams market opened include the Dallas Cowboys, who were initially offered at +6600. However, the Cowboys can make a lot of sense to many analysts, who see adding Adams as a quick way for owner/general manager Jerry Jones to add firepower to an offense that lacks elite players except for CeeDee Lamb.
On the other side are the Kansas City Chiefs, who opened at +500. However, they are reportedly not currently considering trading Adams while assessing the risk of a knee injury to Sunday’s starting pitcher Rashee Rice.
