CM Abdullah condoles the death of five soldiers in a Poonch Army vehicle accident

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday (December 24, 2024) expressed deep grief and deep sympathy over the death of five soldiers in a road accident near a forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

An army vehicle, on its way from Nilam headquarters to Balnoi Ghora Post, took a detour near Ghora Post and fell into a 300-meter deep gorge.

This unfortunate incident claimed the lives of five soldiers and injured others, said the police spokesperson.

The Quick Reaction Team immediately launched a rescue operation in the area.

The prime minister expressed his condolences to the families of the bereaved soldiers, said the spokesperson.

Mr. Abdullah also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers.
