There has been an uproar in Telangana’s Siddipet after the rape of a girl. (Image: X)
A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) and other relevant sections, has been registered against the accused.
In a shocking incident, it is alleged that a class 7 student was raped by a man in Siddipet village of Telangana. After this incident, the girl’s family and relatives were angry and burned the suspect’s house and car.
This incident took place when a 19-year-old man allegedly entered a child’s house in Gavarannapet village while he was sitting alone at home. When he was crying for help, the neighbors rushed to rescue him, and took him by the hand, reported Telangana Today.
The retaliatory action created tension in the area. After receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the area to control the situation. Although the police were present, the family and relatives of the deceased continued their protest and burned the suspect’s property. The police were finally able to disperse the crowd and peace was restored.
The family of the deceased and the local people want legal action to be taken against the accused. A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) and other relevant sections, has been registered against the accused.
Further investigation into this matter is ongoing.
