The President of the Council for Green Reforms (CGR), K. Leela Laxma Reddy, emphasized the importance of protecting the environment for the future generations. He was speaking at a two-day training program for physical education teachers and directors, as part of Earth Leaders, jointly organized by the Department of School Education, Telangana, and CGR, in Kadthal on Wednesday. Around 80 building directors and teachers from Khammam, Nizamabad and Mahabubabad districts participated in the programme.
Former IFS manager P. Raghuveer highlighted the importance of energy conservation and encouraged the participants to take small steps to reduce electricity consumption. He stressed that reducing electricity consumption every month not only benefits households but also contributes to wider efforts to save the environment. The founder of CGR, K. Laxma Reddy, spoke about the importance of leadership development among children, emphasizing the role of teachers in shaping future leaders. He urged Physical Education teachers to focus on developing leadership skills in students by guiding them. Vandemataram Foundation president T. Ravinder Rao, Professor D. Srinivasa Reddy of Agricultural University, CGR State Coordinator Yanala Venkata Reddy and others were present in the programme.
