Getty Images(2)It’s quiet on the set previously revealed a shocking connection between Brian Peck again John Wayne Gacy before the dialogue coach was arrested for sexual harassment Drake Bell.
During the Investigation Discovery docuseries, the former All That a member of the cast Kyle Sullivan he recalled Peck’s friendly nature, saying, “Everybody loved Brian. He was charming and intelligent. He was always there. All the parents loved him too. Everyone trusted Brian.”
Sullivan, 36, however, recalled an incident in which she and other Nickelodeon child stars were invited along with their parents to Peck’s house for a party. According to Sullivan, Peck, now 64 years old, had a painting from Gacy on display for everyone to see.
“It was the birthday girl with the balloons. Brian was very happy and later said, ‘To Brian, I hope you enjoy the painting. Best wishes, your friend John Wayne Gacy,’” Sullivan said. “I was 14 years old so I didn’t know the details but I knew that this boy was someone who wanted to kill the king.”
Sullivan suspects that Peck’s relationship with Gacy went beyond the present.
“All parents and children enter the room and he presents the painting again. Brian actually developed a pen relationship with John,” he recalled. “He kept this pile of letters and pictures from John Wayne Gacy in his nightstand next to his bed. He takes them out and starts showing them.”
Gacy was a serial killer and sex offender who raped, tortured and murdered scores of young men and boys. He was sentenced to death after being convicted of 32 murders and died by lethal injection in 1994.
Sullivan explained why he thought the red flag wasn’t talked about much at the time, adding in the March 2024 doc, “Your mindset is to give it the benefit of the doubt. Even with this really bad sign, it was one of those classic problems of group psychology.”
Peck was then arrested in August 2003 for sexually assaulting a then-unnamed child star. The 11 charges against Peck include oral copying, sexual intercourse and forcible entry. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of child sexual abuse and was sentenced to 16 months in prison and required to register as a sex offender.
In the third episode of Quiet on Set, Bell, 38, broke his silence about being the victim of Peck’s abuse.
“I don’t really know how to explain that to the cameras. … Why don’t you think of the worst things a person can do to a person like sexual assault and that will answer your question,” Bell said at the time. “I don’t know how else to put it. It wasn’t a one-time thing. “
Peck, who is not related to the Nickelodeon star Josh PeckHe has not publicly discussed the documents or Bell’s claims. Meanwhile, Nickelodeon released a statement on Us Weekly before It’s quiet on the set which was first played, read, “Since Drake Bell has revealed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 lawsuit, we are disappointed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the efforts necessary to come forward.”
Bell expressed his surprise at the success Peck continues to achieve after a long career.
“He was hanging out, working, going to parties and living in Hollywood like nothing happened,” Bell said in the March episode. The interview with Yordi Rosado the show. “I remember one time I saw him in a restaurant. He was at a table with 10 or 12 actors. All were male actors between the ages of 14 and 16. When I entered, I saw him and realized that he had just returned to what he was doing. Then I turned and left.”
The actor asked about Peck’s sentence, saying, “He was sentenced to 16 months in prison. Only 16 months and I think he served only four months. When he got out, he was a registered sex offender with a minor and went back to work. “
