The founder of Indian electronics company BPL Group, TP Gopalan Nambiar, died on Thursday, family sources said.
Nambiar, 94, had been unwell for a long time and passed away this morning, they said.
“… he died at home around 10.15 am,” a family member told PTI.
Popularly known as TPG, he is the father-in-law of BJP leader and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Mourning his death, former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa told ‘X’, “We are saddened by the passing away of Shri TPG Nambiar, founder of the iconic BPL brand, with whom we have been close for a long time. Shri Nambiar’s great contributions and legacy will always be remembered. I convey condolences to his loved ones.”
