BJP spreading lies about Congress guarantees, State’s financial situation: Himachal CM Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu talks to women in Dodra Kwarh village of Shimla district.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) of spreading lies surrounding the Congress’s poll guarantees and the state’s financial situation.

Launching ‘Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi’ – a scheme where women will be given Rs 1,500 per month – in Shimla district of Dodra Kwarh village, Mr. Sukhu said that BJP leaders are repeatedly spreading lies about Congress’s assurances. The party.

“Ever since ‘Operation Lotus’ failed and the Congress party’s seats increased from 34 to 40 in Parliament, the BJP has been spreading misleading propaganda.” He said confusion is spreading about the economic situation of the State and new strategies are being started.

Releasing twelve-month ‘Samman Nidhi’ to 509 eligible women of Dodra-Kwar, a remote village in Shimla, the Chief Minister said that under this scheme, the State government was providing Rs 18,000 annually to eligible women in the State.

Government management of natural disasters and other programs

Mr. Sukhu said the Congress government had successfully dealt with the natural calamity last year and had given a special package of Rs 4,500 crore to the affected families. “The government has made sure that the apple crops of the farmers reach the market so that they cannot lose money. The government accepted the orphans as ‘children of the State’. We did not want to leave these children at the mercy of anyone, so we did the government’s duty by making it a law. The government is providing free education to 23,000 children of widows and unmarried women of the State,” he added, dismissing concerns about the financial collapse of the State.

The Prime Minister’s visit was the first time that the government intends to go to far and distant places to address the grievances of the people in their departments. Similar instructions have been given to the Minister, so that the rural people in the Government do not visit the district headquarters which are often far away to receive their complaints.

“Under the ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ plan and to make the State self-sufficient, the government has decided to target the cities to bring them to a normal level by carrying out development activities,” he said. He added that the State government will raise this issue with the Central government to provide for another Backward Class (OBC ) situation in Dodra-Kwar area.

In Shimla, Mr. Sukhu, speaking to journalists, said that information about the abolition of certain positions in various departments is baseless, and is part of false propaganda. “There are many positions like this in various government departments that have been inactive for years. The designation of such positions is subject to change according to current requirements. They are not completed and their names are changed after completing various rituals,” he said.
