Bigfoot Video Goes Viral on TikTok

By TeeJay Small | Published

Avid fans of cryptids, mythology, and a host of mythological mysteries are well aware of the Bigfoot legends captured on video. Monster hunters from all over the United States have been searching for Sasquatch for decades.

While many photos of the creature are rumored and mysterious, a recent TikTok shared by an Oklahoma native appears to offer the first cool, 4K view of the rumored monster for the whole world to see.

The video is currently racking up millions of views and tens of thousands of comments from fellow TikTok users ranging from true believers to full-blown skeptics.

The Bigfoot video was posted by a TikTok user named Emmanuel Alfaro, who promises, in his user bio, that all his videos will be different from the last. That seems to be the case with the picture of Bigfoot, since hunting the creatures of American history in the woods of Lawton, Oklahoma, is very outside of his usual content.

Although the clip is only 9 seconds in running time, it appears to show the Sasquatch sniffing and munching on a piece of greenery while resting among a few nearby trees.

Alfaro tries to zoom in on Bigfoot for a closer look, though the video ends with the creature turning its human-like head to stare at the camera, causing the hiker to panic and run away, after breathlessly exclaiming “oh s***! ”

Comments on the TikTok post included a variety of reactions, including many who believed the Bigfoot caught on camera was the real deal. Many commentators were quick to point out that the world is currently undergoing a lot of absurd developments, so the confirmed presence of Bigfoot will no longer scare them.

The Bigfoot video has also spawned tons of skeptics, who believe the post is an outright hoax, deep VFX…or a man in a Sasquatch suit.

Of course, the Bigfoot video has also spawned tons of skeptics, who believe the post is an obvious fake, a deep VFX shot of an orangutan, or a man in a Sasquatch suit. The original uploader has been quick to respond to many posts, expressing that his encounter with the beast was not scary at all, further proving the shocking footage.

The Bigfoot video was actually part of an elaborate ad campaign

As much as I hate to waste a good time, I have to let you know that the doubters were right on the money, and the Bigfoot video was, in fact, part of an elaborate ad campaign. A cannabis and vape center operating out of Lawton, Oklahoma, ended up being responsible for the video, which serves as another angle for the commercial.

The establishment is aptly named the Bigfoot Head Shop, and their company logo features the appearance of a traditional monster decked out in some bright green “hippie” gear.

The suit used to make the Bigfoot video is exactly the same as the one often seen in TV commercials for Jack Links Beef Jerky, which was a dead giveaway to a few eagle-eyed TikTokers. Still, while this video turned out to be a hoax, it doesn’t mean the real Bigfoot isn’t out there, trolling social media and plotting revenge on the Oklahoma weed dealers who disturbed his peace for the umpteenth time. .
