There was a lot of drama in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly as the House resumed on Thursday with MPs locked in a debate over the decision to restore the special status of the Local Government.
As the Assembly resumed today, engineer Rashid’s brother and MP Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh raised a banner on Article 370, a move opposed by Leader of the Opposition and BJP member Sunil Sharma.
“The decision was not in accordance with the Constitution. He broke the rules of the House,” he said.
BJP MLAs moved to the well of the House and tried to snatch Sheikh’s banner, leading to an altercation between them.
