A A 24-page suicide note left by a software engineer from Uttar Pradesh accusing his wife and her relatives of abusing him narrates in depth his years of emotional distress arising from marital affairs and the many cases filed against him. Atul Subhash was found hanging from his flat in Bengaluru with a placard reading “Justice Wanted”.
The incident not only sparked outrage on social media demanding justice for the 34-year-old coach (#JusticeForAtulSubhash), but also sparked curiosity about the part-suicide note. It lists nine police complaints filed by his wife and relatives as contributing to his suicide. He also explained in detail how his “innocent” four-year-old son was armed to defraud him of child support.
In a move that shows that he has lost faith in the judiciary, Subhash also recorded a video explaining his turmoil and uploaded it to X. In this document, which says “legal murder is happening in India”, this expert tagged US President-elect Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
MANY LAW CASES HAVE BEEN FILED BY THE WOMAN
The main part of the suicide note describes the charges filed by his wife Nikita Singhania, who works at Accenture, for murder, dowry abuse, unnatural sex, among others.
One such case mentioned in the book was related to the murder charges against Subhash for the death of his father-in-law. In 2019, Nikita claimed that her father died of shock after Subhash’s family demanded a dowry of Rs 10 lakh.
However, during interrogation, Nikita admitted that the murder charges were false, and his father died in 2019 due to a heart-related illness.
The note also revealed that Nikita, by filing cases on behalf of their younger son, demanded a monthly maintenance of Rs 2 lakh. Subhash also said that his wife initially filed a case of domestic violence against him, but later withdrew it.
The cases are pending in a family court in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur. The expert alleged that his wife had been demanding maintenance of Rs 1 crore and then increased the maintenance to Rs 3 crore.

Subhash also narrated that his wife used to buy lavish gifts for her mother for every small puja or event. He said his wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been pressuring him to give them money since the beginning of 2020. Other quests include planting in her brother-in-law’s dark kitchen.
“Nothing we gave was enough, I was taking care of my son, washing the dishes, cleaning the house and other tasks while I was in charge of work,” said the note.
Subhash also alleged that his wife kept their son away, and was not allowed to meet him. He also left a small letter for his son.
“When I first saw you, I thought I could give my life for you anytime. But, sadly, I give my life for you. I don’t feel anything about you now except pain sometimes. You just feel like I’m using blackmail that I’m going to cheat a lot,” said a note.
Subhash ends his suicide note by writing his last wishes, one of which is that all the hearings of his cases should happen live and “the people of this country should know the bad state of the legal system and the abuse of the law by these women”.
He also demanded that his cases be tried in Karnataka. “Based on my experience, Bengaluru courts are more law abiding than UP courts. I request to handle Karnataka cases with judicial zeal and keep him in judicial custody with Bengaluru police till trial,” Subhash. said.
